Welcome!
Welcome! I have heard so many times these last few years that we homeschool families in the Birmingham area need a website to maintain the huge number of resources, events, cover schools, and co-ops available to us. I am beginning this blog as a way to attempt to keep us all informed. I would welcome any help, or submission of information. This job may prove too large for one person to handle, so I would love others' participation and contribution.

CORE - a homeschool high school for grades 7 - 12 that anyone from any cover school can join. There is tuition per class. Classes are Tues and Fri and include most high school core subjects with foreign language and a few other choice electives. It is taught by teachers that have also homeschooled or have been homeschooled. Grades are kept by the teachers and given to the parents to turn in. All work and tests are given by the teachers and graded by the teachers. There is homework to be completed at home to turn in for a grade. It is located in Moody at Community Presbyterian Church and Crossroads Christian School.

Just wanted to let you know that some of this information is already available on a forum developed by Highlands Homeschoolers: http://highlandshomeschoolers.com/forum/ I know there are other sites that have tried to compile this information as well. It is a large amount of detail to maintain. I would be happy to help!
